This is a shot I took of The Statue of Liberty ("Liberty Enlightening the World") in New York City's harbor this summer. She is a wonderful landmark symbol of the United States of America's independence and freedom.
This WWI Camp Dodge, Living Statue of Liberty, comprised of 18,000 officers and soldiers who posed as Lady Liberty in 1918, is another wonderful symbol, to me, of Veteran's Day. Throughout our nation's history it has been the services of the four branches of the armed forces, who have selflessly defended our country to preserve our freedoms. Our Veteran's are our nation's backbone and its greatest treasure.
